Thomas Edward Brown

Thomas Edward "Maypo" Brown, 56, Blairsville died November 21, 2011 at his late residence. He was the son of the late Elmer W. "Preach" Brown and Sara Jane (Purcell) Brown. Mr. Brown was born May 21, 1955 in Indiana , PA. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA Local #488, Lucernemines, Sons of the American Legion Post #493 and the Blairsville VFW. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thomas is survived by a son - Thomas E. Brown Jr. and fiancée Jamie Yatsko, Blairsville; a daughter - Bridget A. Wright and husband Jesse, Pittsburgh; one grandson - Tyler William Brown; a brother - Robert W. Brown and wife Cheryl, Homer City and a sister - Cindy Cadile and husband Larry, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close family friends - Dave McIntire, Blairsville; Stacy Yatsko and Brandy Rummell both of Shelocta; Cheryl Yackuboskey of Saltsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Barbara Brown and an uncle Sloan Rodgers. Friends will be received Wednesday from noon until time of service at 1PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Pastor Chuck Lockard will be officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family. Thomas Brown P.O.
