Sophie J. (Csarnogusky) Mytrysak

Sophie J. (Csarnogusky) Mytrysak, 88, Homer City (Brush Valley) died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Csarnogusky and was born April 21, 1925 in Brush Valley. Sophie enjoyed cooking, baking, her flowers and mowing her tree nursery. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson, Cullen. Mrs. Mytrysak was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her two sons, Regis Mytrysak and his fiancée Sally McClain of Brush Valley; Den Mytrysak and his wife Toni of Brush Valley; Grandchildren, Brandon Mytrysak and wife Stacey of Johnstown and Jason, David and Brianna Mytrysak; one grandson, Cullen Mytrysak. She is also survived by her 2 daughter-in-laws, Pam Holsinger and Charlotte Mytrysak. The family would like to thank Sophie's caregivers, Charlotte, Trudy, Beth and Janet. They would also like to thank Aging Services, Indigo, the VNA and Veteran Affairs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Thad; brothers, George, Joe, John and Jim and sisters, Mary, Marge, Martha, Helen and Irene. Friends will be received Thursday, January, 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Parastas will be held 2:00PM Thursday. A Panachida will be held Friday at 10:15 at the funeral hoe follow by a funeral liturgy at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City with Father Cuthbert Jack, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery, Lucernemines.
