Sharon Marie Wyne (Satterfield) Maggio was born on Christmas Day, 1953, and went home to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ on June 20, 2024. Sharon was a collector of strays, both animal and human. She wanted to heal the world, one creature or person at a time. She was a born caretaker. She loved to travel. She never backed down from a good debate. She was a survivor and ferociously independent. You could always count on her to be a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. But most of all, she let you be you.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jean (Spence) Wyne and Robert Eugene Wyne, her brothers, Robert Boyd Wyne and Wiliam Ashley Wyne, and her grandson, Zeke Joyce. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Pete Maggio, her stepmother, June Wyne, her brother, Don (Laura) Wyne; her step-siblings John (Susan) Merryman and Grace (Steve) Niederriter, her daughters, Alicia Joyce and Jessica Joyce; her stepchildren Michael (Julie) Maggio, Michelle (Ted) McCaulley and grandchildren Clayton (Shayna) Joyce, Chance Lewis, Patience Lewis, Blake (Kasey) Paul, Gage Sadler, Myla Maggio, Mikayla Dokos, Romylos Dokos and great-grandchildren Rowan Joyce, Bailey Thomas, and Baby Boy Paul, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who were her chosen family. Family was everything to Sharon, and she loved her family fiercely. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
