Rosina M. (Rose) Riscinto 94 of Indiana (formally of LucerneMines) passed away on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at Rose Haven Personal Care Home, Indiana. Rose was born on September 14, 1923 in Hannastown, PA to Guerino andAntionette (Romano) Cararini. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and was part of the Housekeeping Committee; making certain the church was immaculate for holidays. Rose was a kind, generous, and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family and her home; both were her pride and joy. She is survived by her son, Nicholas A Riscinto and wife Anna Marie of Indiana, granddaughter, Kristen Riscinto-Kozub and husband Jeffrey of Drexel Hill, PA and two great grandchildren, Ellise Marie and Nathaniel Thomas Kozub of Drexel Hill, PA. She is also survived by one sister, Augustine Stabile, Indiana (formally of Lucerne Mines), and her brother-in-law Joseph Lotto of Greensburg, PA. Rose had numerous nieces and nephews that loved her and visited her regularly. Three of her nieces held a very special place in her heart and shared in her life; Patti Gulakowski , Barb Louis and Nicolina Stabile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dominick (Pee Wee) Riscinto on February 2, 1996. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George and wife Liz, Louis and wife Ermita Cararini, her twin sisters, Julia M. DeMarino and husband James, and Antionette M. Lotto; and a brother in law, Michael Stabile. Rose was also preceded in death by a dear friend, Angie Terlionwhom she met when she moved to Rose Haven over two years ago. They enjoyed their time together and made each day special. Friends will be received at the C Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City on Thursday afternoon November 16, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Parting Prayers will he recited Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Lucerne Mines Site with interment to follow at the St. Bernards Cemetery in Indiana, PA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Rose Haven Personal Care Home, 132 Rose Street, Indiana, PA. 15701
