Mervine, Ronald Clair Duck, 77, Homer City, passed away at home Oct.14, 2016. Born March 19, 1939 in Strongstown, son of the late Arthur and Althea (Hunter) Mervine. Preceded in death by grandson Walter Cox, III and brother Melvin. Survived by wife of 55 years Edna (Fyock) Mervine, Homer City. Children Barbara (Walter) Cox, Lock Haven; Ronald Clair Mervine, Jr., Johnstown; Arthur William (Diana) Mervine, Clymer; Virginia Mervine, Whitehall; Brenda (Dennis)Binder, Jim Thorpe. 13 Grandchildren and 11great grandchildren. Brother of Bernard, Strongstown; Arthur Pet, Strongstown; Catherine (Frank)Spotts, Mentor, Oh; Sandy (Ronald) Frederick, Strongstown; Rosemary (George) Roles, Strongstown; Aleene (Ed) Butterworth, Carlisle.Numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog RJ. Duck was an avid outdoorsmen who loved to hunt, fish, and ride his bicycle. He also enjoyed going to flea markets. He was a cancer survivor for 22 years. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Means, officiating and eulogy will be given by his niece Anna Fyock. Interment to follow in Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ducks Family.
