Robin Clair (Fred) Jones 59, Homer City peacefully passed away on January 26, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Robin was born December 17, 1956 to Clair R. and Donna (Kephart) Jones in Phillipsburg, PA. Robin was employed by Consol Energy at several different coal mines. Robin was a member of the UMWA Local #488, the American Legion Post #493, Redbarn Sportsmens Club, Tide Sportsmens Club and the FOE. Robin enjoyed spending time with his family, talking on his phone to his family, swimming in his pond and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed treating his family to dinner out and especially enjoyed pizza and movie night. He enjoyed watching sports (particularly football). He was a loving Husband, Father, Pap, Son and Brother. His wife, children and grandchildren always came first, as he was a great provider for his family. Anyone that knew Robin knows he was very proud of being a member of the 1974-75 Homer Center Wildcat Football Team and being named Indiana County Lineman of the Year his Junior year in high school. He had a heart of gold and was always reminding us to play the lottery and If he won we could all retire. He loved to call us during the Steelers games to discuss the game situations. He had an incredibly, unique and uncanny way of quoting lifes situations. We will miss him dearly and cherish our wonderful memoires of him. Robin is survived by his wife of 37 years Christine Potts Jones; his son Jesse and his wife Jeannine, his daughter Jennifer Jones and her fianc Glen Gomish. His grandchildren Preston Gomish and Lee Summer Jones. His mother Donna Jones, brothers Randy and wife Teresa, Ronald and wife Monica, Roger and Sharon Barrett. His father-in-law and mother-in-law Don and Mary Potts, his sister-in-law Sandy and husband Dennis Harshyne, brother-in-law Joe and wife Marcy Potts and his nephews and niece Greg Jones, Ben Harshyne, Zack Harshyne, Lindsey Jones, Mathew Jones, Lane Potts and Nathan Potts. Robin in preceded in death by his father Clair R. Jones and sister-in-law Jody Jones. Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where services will follow immediately.
