Malcotti, Robert, Sr., 78, Nanty Glo, passed away on April 12, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on March 27, 1939 in Johnstown. Son of the late Enio Red and Mary (Kohut) Malcotti. Preceded in death by his wife Gayle (Phillips) Malcotti and nephew Tommy Malcotti. He is survived by his 5 children Robert (Veronica) Malcotti, Jr.; Rick (Toby) Malcotti; Marianne Malcotti (Rob); Mark Malcotti (Jen); all of Nanty Glo; Gina (Martin) Kokoski, Bolivar. Grandchildren Marlana, Robert, III, Amanda, Kayley, Courtney Kennedy, Andreana and 5 great grandchildren Madelyn, Mackenzie, John Robert, Jaelyn, and Makenna. Brother Thomas (Mary) Malcotti; Sisters Donna (Bill) Sybert and Christine Malcotti. Many nieces and nephews. Member of St. Marys Church, Nanty Glo. A life long member and former secretary of the Twin Rocks Sportsmans Club, and a member of the American Legion, Beech Creek. He was a licensed fire arms dealer. Mr. Malcotti graduated from Nanty Glo High School in 1957, and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1961 with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent his career working for Penelec in Johnstown. Robert loved to fish and hunt and spend time at the family camp in Centre County. He also loved to play his accordion to entertain family and friends. His favorite past time was daily happy hour meetings at Malcottis Tavern with the retirement club. He will be missed by his family and many friends who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Monday from 4-8, where wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 10:00 A.M. at St. Marys Church, Fr Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
