Nazarak, Raymond R., Dynamite 92, completed his earthly journey and entered his Heavenly life with the Father Dec. 11, 2016 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, which we are very greatful for their care given to our father. Born May 11, 1924 in Lilly. Son of the late Louis and Anastasia Nazarak. Preceded in death by his Wife Elizabeth (Sekerak ) Nazarak, Brother Mike (Julie) Nazarak and Sister Lillian (Ed) McConnel. Brothers-in-law Mike Butz and John Rebar. Surviving are his children; Louis (Vicky) Nazarak; Cecelia (Leo) Fasoli; Wayne (Susan) Nazarak, all of Belsano. Grandchilren; Seth, Sean (Jessica) Nazarak, Krista (Moses) Paez, Theresa and Anna Fasoli, Joseph Nazarak, and Jamie (Tina) Cubeta. Great grandchildren; Caleb, Madison, Julia, and Michael. Sisters Rosie Butz and Stella Rebar, both of Michigan. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Nanty Glo. Life member VFW Post 7605, Twin Rocks and Post 3489, Nanty Glo. Nanty Glo American Legion, Post 619, where he served as commander, and UMWA Local 1386. Raymond served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in Normandy, Ardennes, Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, Northern France, and Central Europe, and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He also served in the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Dynamite was in the 159th Combat Engineers BN., 187th Airborne RCT-11th Airborne Division, 511th Airborne Signal Co., and 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, NC. Family and friend will be received, Friday at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo from 3-8 where Veterans services will at 6:30 and Parastas Service will be held at 7. A brief prayer service will be held at 10:30 at the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Litergy at 11:00 on Saturday, at the Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Nanty Glo. Rev. Fr. George Hnatko, the celebrant. Intermit to follow St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks.
