Pete Maggio, Jr

Pete Maggio, Jr, 91, Homer City (Cherry Run) died Friday, August 31, 2018 at his late residence. He was the son of the late Pete and Carmella (Zaffudo) Maggio and was born September 6, 1926 in Iselin, PA. Pete was a member of the Church of the Assumption and a World War II, United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife Flora (Strini) Maggio; two sons, Peter John Maggio, Homer City and John Anthony (Tony) Maggio and wife Monica, Homer City. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Michelle, Nina, David, Beth Ann, Julie and Michael and great grandchildren, Mikayla, Romylos, and Myla. Pete is the last surviving member of his five brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held Monday, September 3, 2018, from 2 until time of service at 6 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Interment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County (VNA Hospice)
