Michelle Irene Amero, 53 of Oak Ridge, TN passed away on Wednesday September 18,2024. She is now in the presence of Angels surrounded by her family. Michelle was born on July 7 th , 1971, in Indiana PA and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1990. Michelle was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She began taking care of children in 1986 and cared for over 100 children over the last 37 years. She was involved in and supported the St. Joseph Food Pantry; Red Cross blood bank and she participated in the Annual Alzheimer’s Walk for many years. She is the daughter of Barbara Ann (McNulty) Amero and the late Deacon Norm Amero of Oak Ridge TN. She is survived by her brothers Jeffrey G. Amero and his wife Denise S. Amero of FL, and James F. Amero and his wife Marcia B. Amero of PA. She is also survived by her Uncle Timothy McNulty and Aunt Nora McNulty of FL, Nephew and Niece James F. Amero II and Elizabeth K. Amero of PA and cousins Timothy McNulty of CT and Tara McNulty of ME. She is also survived by all the special friends and children she knew and loved over the years. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of University of TN, ICU for the wonderful care they provided Michelle and the amazing support they provided for her family and friends. Services were held Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Oak Ridge, TN. Viewing was held from 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass.
Friends will be received Saturday from 10 until 11 AM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. Graveside services will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Lucernemines, PA.
