Matilda Louise LoPresti, 96 of Homer City died January 14, 2013 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late John and Jettie (Jamison) Appleton and was born February 21, 1916 in Black Lick, PA. She was a member of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for the Joraii Class. Mrs. LoPresti is survived by five children - Carol LoPresti (Erick) Samuelson, Long Beach, CA; Frank (Deborah) LoPresti, Blairsville; Donald (Carolyn) LoPresti, Indiana; Ronald LoPresti (Julie Fordyce), Delmont and Lucille (Richard) Ofstun, Plum Boro. She is also survived by five grandchildren - Emily and Adam Ofstun, Dylan Dando, Michael and Benjamin LoPresti and one brother - Paul (LaRue) Appleton, Coral and one sister - Jean Thompson of Frederick, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Ernest whose death in 2009 ended their marriage of 68 years. Friends will be received Wednesday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Rev. William D. Milligan, officiating. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The LoPresti Family would like to thank all of the staff at Beacon Ridge for the excellent care their mother received for the past six years.
