Mary Lou Solo

Mary Lou Solo, 75, of Coral, died February 19, 2025, at the Communities at Indian Haven. She is the daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Strojni) Palguta and was born December 23, 1949, in Indiana, PA. 

Mary Lou was a dedicated member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She cherished her family and friends, particularly her granddaughter. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and looked forward to holiday gatherings with her family.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward; her daughters, Jennifer (Seth) Conner of Home, PA, and Sarah Solo of Homer City; and her granddaughter, Madelyn Solo of Homer City. She is also survived by her stepson, Steve (Kim) Solo of Seward, PA; her sister, Rita Palguta of Josephine; and her nephews, Michael (Jessica) Palguta of Irwin, PA, and Joshua Kapcoe of Josephine, PA. Additionally, her brother-in-law, William Solo of Homer City, as well as her grandpups, Buckley and Ryder, and many wonderful friends also survive her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Patricia and her brother-in-law, James Solo.

The family would like to express their thanks to the nursing staff at Indian Haven and the seventh-floor nursing staff at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

In accordance with Mary Lou's wishes, there will be no services. Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in Homer City are handling the arrangements.
