Mary C. Maghrak, 81, Homer City died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at IRMC. She was born February, 2, 1931 in Homer City. She was the daughter of the late Victoria (Bishop) Maghrak and Paul Maghrak who died in a coal mining accident before Mary was born. Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She loved her church, her family and her friends. She enjoyed making candy and bowling. Miss. Maghrak worked at Syntron and later retired from FMC. She is survived by her sister - Dorothy DeJohn of Erie, PA; brother-in-law-Paul Esachina of Blairsville and sister-in-law - Patricia Maghrak-Taylor of Minnesota, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers - Joseph, Paul, Michael, Edward and John and a sister Sophie Esachina. Friends will be received Thursday from 5-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Francis Cemetery, Coral.
