Mary (DeQueant) Galko

Galko, Mary (DeQueant), 94, Nanty Glo, passed away Nov. 25, 2017 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. She was born July 5, 1923 in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Cyr and Mary DeQueant. Preceded in death by Husband John, grandson Paul Galko, granddaughter Theresa Galko. Sisters Yvonne DeQueant, Edith Lesniack, Yvette Novack. Brothers Marshall, Walter, and Clifford. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary is survived by her sons Walter (Colleen) Galko, Nanty Glo and Danny (Monica) Galko, Mentor, OH. Grandchildren Lisa (Marc) Vivian, Walter Joe (Sandy) Galko, Elizabeth Galko. Great grandchildren Luke, Brooke, Eric, and Lauren. Sister Helen Kozian. Mary was a member of St. Marys Church. Family and friends will be received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, on Monday from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M., where wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Marys Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rebekah Manor Activities fund or 365 Hospice.
