Marie E. (Bensor) Thomas

Marie E. (Bensor) Thomas, 86, Nanty Glo, passed away in the arms of her loving daughter, Linda, Sept. 15, 2013, at Cambria Care Center. Born Feb. 20, 1927, in Nanty Glo, daughter of daughter of the late Victor and Hanna (Smith) Bensor. Preceded in death by husband, William; brothers, George and Robert; and sisters, Martha (Pete) Solley and Venna (Norman) Sape. Survived by daughter, Linda (Timothy) Long, and granddaughter, Colleen; Donald (Nancy) Thomas, and grandchildren, Donald, David and Susan; great-grandchildren, Donald, Meagan and Allison Thomas; Issac Thomas; Mitchell Hayley; and Camryn and Scott; sisters, Arbutis "Coot" (Ralph) Irwin; Shirely (Fred) Irwin; Hanna (Don) Barrett; and Sibbie (Ed) Bloom, all of Grampian, and Marjorie "Monnie" (Charles) Tiller, Kalamazoo, Mich.; brother, William (Norma) Bensor, Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. At Marie's request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Marie loved children and animals, any donations may be made to the Nanty Glo Library or the local humane society.
