Marie I Hazlett

Marie I. Hazlett, 94, of Homer City died March 16, 2024 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.  She was the daughter of the late Ford and Cora (Brink) Hazlett and was born January 28, 1930 in Livermore, Pennsylvania.

Marie was a member of the Homer City Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed traveling the world and was an avid swimmer.  She swam regularly at the YMCA until 2020.

Marie enjoyed teaching at Derry Area High School for over 35 years where she helped direct many of the school musicals.

She is survived by her sister, Vivian Adamsky, of Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard, Raymond and Eugene and her sisters, Mildred Schuster, Betty Lahn, Ethel Houser, Thelma Lucas and Dorothy Faith.

Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 PM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City and Saturday from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM with her nephew, Father Brant Hazlett, officiating.  Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
