Margaret A. "Peg" Andrascik, 83, Waterman died June 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Stephanie "Stefna" (Rokosky) Martinak and was born April 24, 1931 in Curwensville, PA. Peg was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She was also a member of the Homer Center PTA and Band Boosters when her children where in school. She loved going to recitals, band concerts and sporting events to watch her grandchildren. She also loved dancing to polka music and watching her sons play in their band the "PA Express". Peg was known as the pierogi princess and enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a graduate of Homer Center High School Class of 1949 She worked at the Mahoning Supply Company Store in Waterman, the Indiana Hospital, Campus Sportswear in Indiana and Carley Insurance in Homer City. She also provided childcare at her home for many years. She is survived by five children, Michael (Deborah) Andrascik, Windber, PA; Thomas (Paula) Andrascik, Homer City; Frederick (Becky Freeman), Waterman; Ann (Eric) Greczek and Alan (Angela) Andrascik, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Ashley, Adam, Nathan and Nicholas Andrascik. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Martin of New Jersey, Joan Bland of Indiana, Vickie (Rod) McDonald of Cranberry Township and her sister-in-law, Dot (Fred) McMullen of Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Andrascik in 2003, two brothers, William and Joseph Martinak and an infant grandson, Michael Andrascik. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Father Ronald Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
