Mabel D. Skoff

Mabel Conway Skoff, 84, of Homer City, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 in her home surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late John and Ollie Uncapher Conway and was born May 17, 1934 in Nolo, PA. She was the wife of Steve Louis Skoff, who passed away on February 14, 2015. Mabel was the heart of her family; she raised five children and took care of everyone around her. She worked at Brookside Dairy for many years and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish where she was a member of the Alter Rosary Society, worked with the RCIA team, served as an usher and anywhere else that she was needed. Mabel is survived by her children, Stephen Skoff of Homer City, Sharon (Daniel) Bell of Homer City, Karen Skoff of Indiana, Kenneth Skoff (and wife Laurie's family) of Coral, and Daniel (Wendy) Skoff of Avonmore; grandchildren, Stacey (Chad) Leger, Laura (Robert) Breznican, Benjamin (Amy) Skoff, Daniel Bell Jr., Tyler (Summer) Skoff, and Daniel Skoff Jr.; great grandchildren, Ian Anthony Breznican, Abigail and Joseph Skoff, and Chase Leger; and many other extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kelly Skoff; her brothers, Carl Uncapher, and James, Peter, and George Conway; and her daughters-in-law, Lola and Laurie Skoff Friends will be received from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the C. Fredrick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Monday, February 25th at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption, Lucernemines. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mabel's family would like to give special thanks to the VNA, the many doctors and nurses who have taken care of her throughout the years, and to all of those who have prayed for her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County, 850 Hospital Road, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
