Lola Domenick Skoff

September 17, 1956 — November 18, 2018

Lola Domenick Skoff, 62, of Homer City, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, surrounded by family, after a 20 month battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Lewis and Sybil (Horrell) Domenick of Lucernemines, and was born September 17, 1956. Lola was known for her smile and her laugh; she had a very optimistic outlook on life and loved her family, friends, and Pittsburgh teams very much. She loved shopping with her sisters, baking and playing with her grandkids, and crafting with her niece, Jennifer Domenick Myers. She worked at Homer-Center as a custodian and worked as a bus driver for years before that. Lola is survived by her husband of 44 years, Stephen Skoff, and their daughter, Laura (Robert) Breznican; son, Benjamin (Amy) Skoff, and three grandchildren; Ian Anthony Breznican, Abigail Skoff, and Joseph Skoff, all of Homer City. She is also survived by seven siblings: Marlin (Bobbie) Domenick, Akron, Ohio; Dean Domenick, St. Clair Shores, Michigan; Olivia (Dean) Osten, Springfield, Missouri; Deborah Domenick Hill, Lucernemines; Mark (Patty) Domenick, Lucernemines; Alva (Don) Hill, Blairsville; and Wade Domenick, Homer City; and her mother-in-law, Mabel Skoff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Kelly, who passed away on February 10, 2000, her sister Lynetta Domenick Herbert, and her brother Leonard Domenick. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-9 on Tuesday, November 20th at the C. Fredrick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21st at noon at the funeral home with Chaplin Laurie Park, officiating. Internment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Lola's family would like to give special thanks to the amazing staff of the VNA; especially Tonya, for helping them through these last few months and for the care and compassion that they showed her.
