Kenneth O. Black

Kenneth O. Black went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born August 2nd 1945 to Roy A. Black Sr. and Edna (Sweeney) Black. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Kenneth was a member of the Masonic lodge #244 of East Brady, PA and was also a member of the Jaffa Shriners of Altoona, PA. He was a proud member of IBEW Local #5 of Pittsburgh, PA where he worked for over 35 years as an electrician, in which he retired due to complications of kidney surgery and heart disease. He had a combined total of 52 years as a member of Local #5. He liked watching old war and western movies especially any movies with John Wayne. He also enjoyed the company of his wife, family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Mary Ann; son Matthew, daughter in law, Lynn; grandchildren Morgan(18), Jennica(11), and Myka(6). He is also survived by his sisters, Edna Reither, Edith Ederi Bruschi and June Brody. He is proceeded in death by his brothers, Harold E. Black and Roy A. Black Jr. and his father Roy A. Black Sr. and his mother Edna Black. Friends and family will be received Sunday from 2-5 PM at the C. Fredrick Bowser Funeral Home, 4606 Old US 119 Hwy S, Homer City, PA 15748 In Lieu of flowers, we ask that you send donations to the American Heart Association and the National Kidney Foundation in his memory.
