Katherine Rose Tedeschi, 89, Coral died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 14, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Primo and Celesta (Barbuti) Manfredi of Parma, Italy. She was born April 6, 1922 in Coral. Mrs. Tedeschi was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She was employed by Acme Die, Kennametal and Blairsville Machine making parts for airplanes during WWII. Katherine is survived by 2 children - Tom Tedeschi of Coral and Terri Tedeschi of Blairsville; she is also survived by a sister-in-law Josephine (Tedeschi) Trimble and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A special thanks to the VNA Hospice nurses and staff, especially Claire and to her caregivers Mary and Eleanor. Katherine loved her family and God and enjoyed her home. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tedeschi was preceded in death by her husband - Aldo Tedeschi in 2001 and the following brothers and sisters - Inez Spiaggi, Louise Butera, Lena Ferraro, Genevieve Aaron, Velma Grigas, Mary Lanfrankie, Julius Manfredi and Mario Manfredi. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Vigil will be recited Friday. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site with the Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Francis Cemetery, Coral.
