Julia Kotzur

Julia Kotzur, 96,  Graceton, PA died Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.  She was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Sotak) Kotzur and born August 20, 1923 in New Alexandria, PA.  She was retired from Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania was was a member of Telephone Pioneers.  She was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Guild.  She was a member of Homer City Historical Society and had been a volunteer of Indiana County Hospice.  She is the last surviving member of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Stelma, Anna Twohill and Elizabeth Twohill and three brothers, Andrew (Dave) Kotzur, Nicholas Kurtz and Michael Kotuzr.  She is also survived by nephews Victor Stelma, Eugene Stelma and Joe Kotzur as well as many other nephews and nieces.

Friends may call at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, PA on Monday, November 25 from 4-6 pm.  A Panachida will be held at Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, November  26 at St. Mary’s Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Wesley Mash the celebrant.  Memorial donations may be made to Holy Protection of Mary Byzantine Catholic Church or Hospice of Indiana County.   Julia’s family would like to thank Susan Cadanko, Betty Jean Greb, Josie Loughner and Kathy Watson and the staff at Keeper of the Flame for their loving care and friendship with Julia.
