Jonathan Edward Rado, 26, Homer City died January 9, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Leonard and Julianne (Salerno) Rado and was born March 11, 1985 in Indiana. Jonathan was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and the Edinboro Wheelchair Power Soccer Team. He was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf with his pap. Jonathan was a volunteer for Relay for Life and the Arc of Indiana County. Jonathan's courage was an inspiration to all that knew him. He was a 2003 graduate of Homer - Center High School and a 2009 graduate of Edinboro University where he earned a Bachelors' Degree in Sports Administration. Jonathon is survived by his parents, 1 brother - Matthew Rado of Pittsburgh; 1 niece - Avrey Rado; Maternal Grandparents - Edward and Mary Alice Salerno of Indiana and Paternal Grandmother - Frances Rado of Homer City. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Nick Rado, who died in 2008. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Vigil service will be recited Thursday. A Blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site with Rev. Fr. Terry Hercik, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
