Jennie (Peroli) Stella

February 16, 1915 — January 22, 2012

Jennie "Nona" Stella, 96 of Homer City died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Pesci) Peroli and was born February 16, 1915 in Dilltown. "Aunt Jay" enjoyed cooking Italian Food, taking care of and loving her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandsons. She was also a very loving person and always made everyone laugh. She touched everyone's heart. Mrs. Stella was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter - Carol McCombie and husband Mick of Homer City; 4 grandchildren - Vince Hilty, Jennifer Hilty and fiancée Thomas Askew, Zach McCombie and wife Christy and Eric McCombie; 4 great grandchildren - April and husband Devin Budner, Jordan, Kristin and Alexa; 2 great great grandsons - Kurtis and Nash; 2 sister-in-laws - Inez Peroli of Tearing Run and Elsie Peroli of Kansas. A special thanks to Nancy Circle and Kristin Stitt for a wonderful job with assisting as Jennie's Caregivers. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stella was preceded in death by her husband John Stella in 1954, daughter - Esther Hilty, granddaughter - Angela Hilty, sisters - Josephine Albertelli, Lena Peroli, Louisa Sasala and Lena Strini and brothers - Mario and Tony Peroli. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Vigil Service will be recited. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Timothy J. Kruthaupt, officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
