Janet Elaine (Potts) Williams

Janet Elaine Potts Williams, 68, of Josephine, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 14. The daughter of the late Mildred (Kepner) and Clyde Potts, Janet, the second of five children, was born in Willet on July 22, 1944. A devoted mother to her son Eric and a loving sibling, Janet was a talented seamstress who had also worked at Campus Sportswear, Indiana, PA. She was an avid gardener who found joy in growing flowers and vegetables and the work of keeping her home and yard, and she enjoyed country and gospel music and being outdoors. Janet is survived by her long-time companion George Gallo, Homer City; her son Eric of Rossiter; brother Dean (Judy) Potts, Victor NY; sisters Donna (Bill) Reinard, Homer City; Yvonne Potts Hudson (Lynette Asson), Pittsburgh; and Joyce (Ray) Zimmerman, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends too numerous to mention. She is also preceded in death by her husband Francis Andy Williams and grand-mother Vera Hudson Kepner. Friends will be received from 1 to 5 pm today at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday following visitation beginning at 10 am. The Rev. Thomas L. Funk will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather for a luncheon at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Homer City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
