Iva Mary Syster

Iva Mary Syster, 79, of Indiana passed away Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at her campsite in Brush Valley Township.

Iva was born October 14, 1944 in Philipsburg, PA. Daughter of Richard and Mary Williams. Iva was born October 14, 1944, in Philipsburg, PA. Daughter of Richard and Mary Williams. 

Iva was a member of the First Christian Church in Indiana. In the past she was actively involved in puppet ministry and the fellowship committee. Donating countless hours preparing dinners for funerals and other events. 

She Worked at United Campus ministries for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Iva was very proud of her work. Meeting countless people, many in which lead to lifelong friendships especially (Lindy, Karen and Kurt). 

Iva is survived by her husband Richard L. Syster of 49 years. Daughter Danielle (Richard) Bash, two granddaughters Jennifer Williams and Nicolle (Curt) Bash, two great granddaughters Emma and Leo Williams. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Daniel Williams and infant son Matthew Richard Syster.
