Irene (Lichtenfels) Spory

Irene Spory, 94, Homer City, formerly of Robinson died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at IRMC. She was the daughter of the late Charles Ensley and Carrie Lynette (Montgomery) Lichtenfels and was born July 20, 1918 in West Wheatfield Twp. Mrs. Spory was a homemaker all her life. She was also a member of the Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son Paul R and wife Eunice (Ober) Spory, Homer City Grandchildren Brian K. Smith and wife Jennifer, Homer City Kristin Plowcha and husband Edward J., Indiana 2 great grandchildren Bailey and Noah Smith, Homer City Brother Wayne C. Lichtenfels and wife Roberta, Robinson She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Spory; Siblings Ralph Lichtenfels, Herman C. (Doris) Lichtenfels, Hazel Lichtenfels (Henry) Wesenberg, Mary Lichtenfels (Carl C.) Novak, Alvin Lichtenfels, Thomas C. (Betty) Lichtenfels, Vongale Lichtenfels (Andrew) Hilligas, Chervyl Lichtenfels (Joseph) Stanish. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Visitation will also be held from 10AM until time of service at noon at the Robinson Evangelical Methodist Church, 332 Mary Street, Robinson, PA 15136 with the Rev. John Mize, officiating. Interment to follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church
