Inez E. Mouser

Beloved wife and mother, Inez E. (Garonzi) Mouser, 91, of Lucernemines, passed away at Indiana Regional Medical Center on October 21, 2024. Inez was born on March 18, 1933 to Tulio and Elizabeth Garonzi in Lucernemines.

Inez was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lucernemines. As a teenager, she worked at Vetula's Market in (Yankeetown) Homer City and then at Robertshaw until 1960, when she married her husband, John, whom she met polka dancing a few years prior.

Inez enjoyed family gatherings and shopping. She loved to cook family favorite meals like Polenta and Chicken for birthdays and special occasions. She baked a variety of specialty pies and cookies for holidays and family weddings. She also loved to polka dance with her husband, John, and they have won several polka dance competitions over the past 64 years of marriage. In her later years, she enjoyed reading the newspaper, completing word search puzzles, watching her favorite shows, The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune, playing her favorite card game, Skip-Bo, and even continued polka dancing until a year ago.

She is survived by her husband, John, of 64 years, daughter Patricia (Rankin) of Phoenix, Arizona, son John, of Lucernemines, daughter Lisa (Rura), of Homer City, and daughter Gina, of Lucernemines, four grandchildren, Adam John "A.J.", Joey, Ian Patrick, and Elisa Vicenza, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins in Homer City, Italy, and France. She is also survived by her brothers, Reno Garonzi, of Homer City and Tulio “Bud” Garonzi, of Indiana 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tulio and Elizabeth, brother Bruno, sisters Marie (Succheralli), Florence (Pace), and Betty Jean "Jeanie" (Blakley).

Friends will be received Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
