Gloria Jean (Miller) Bartek, 75, passed away on October 17, 2024, at The Gardens in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She was born on December 22, 1948, the daughter of George and Ruth (McGinnis) Miller.
Gloria was a lifelong resident of Indiana County. She graduated from Laura Lamar High School in Homer City in 1966. She married Raymond Bartek on August 12, 1967, and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Gloria retired from FMC, a job that she loved. She was an avid golfer and was very proud of her numerous holes-in-one at Tom’s Run golf course in Blairsville. Gloria loved to travel, cook, and spend time with family. She had a heart of gold and an infectious laugh. Gloria’s radiant smile and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know her. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Lucernemines.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, George Miller; her mother, Ruth (McGinnis) Miller; her husband, Raymond; her sister, Rita (Miller) Skinner; and her brother, George Miller. She is survived by her sister Sandy (Miller) Stevick and nephew Billy Stevick of Odessa, Texas; nephew Sean and Pam Stevick; great niece Vanessa Stevick of Gillette, Wyoming; brother Gary Miller of Brush Valley, Pennsylvania; niece Milea (Miller) and Josh Vislosky, great nephews Sawyer and Lincoln Vislosky of Novi, Michigan; nephew Matthew and Stefanie Miller, great nieces Meah and Maddie Miller, of Crown Point, Indiana; niece Stacy (Bartek) Loiacono, Ellicott City, Maryland, nephew Richard Bartek, Butler, Pennsylvania, nephew Steve Bartek, Indiana, Pennsylvania, niece Katelyn Skinner, Wallingford, Connecticut, and nephew Kevin Skinner, New York.
Per Gloria's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The interment will be private.
