George V. Zayac, Jr. “Slim”, age 53 of Coral, died suddenly Friday, October 18, 2019. He was born on August 14, 1966 in Salem, New Jersey and was the son of George, Sr. and Janet (Dies) Zayac.
George belonged to the following organizations; Red Barn Sportsman Club, Son of Homer City American Legion, Charter member of Tides Sportsman Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, active member of the Graceton-Coral Sportsman Club and a social member of the Veterans Club in Forest County.
George was employed at Penn Machine Locomotive Company in Blairsville.
He is survived by his mother Janet Dies Zayac, Homer City; significant other of 19 years Carol Butler, Coral; daughters Shauna Zayac and Philip, Greensburg and Lisa Zayac and Joshua, Johnstown. George is also survived by step-son Devin Butler, Coral; four grandchildren Jamison Gibson, Colton Landis, James Preston Butler, and Averie Landis; sister Tracy Metalla and husband David and brother Timothy Zayac and wife Karen, both of Homer City and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
George was preceded in death by father George V. Zayac, Sr. and step-son James P. Butler.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2:00 until time of service at 7:00 pm at the chapel of the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Rev. R. A. Wallace officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.
Contributions can be made to Red Barn Sportsman Club “Youth 22 Shoot” in care of S & T Bank, Homer City.
