George E. Dunmire, 73, of Homer City died Tuesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jerry and Dorothy Dunmire and was born January 23, 1940 in Black Lick. George lived in a world of silence but was well read and left a huge influence in the normal world. He was retires from Auto Body work. George was a member of the Red Barn Sportsman Club, Johnstown Association of Deaf (JAD) Board of Directors, Northern Cambria Senior Citizens Center, Ebensburg branch. He was also a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Deaf and also Vale Tech. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly (Raymond) Dunmire; son, Samuel Scott Dunmire, Homer City; two granddaughters, Courtney and Kayla. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard and James Dunmire both of Torrance, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jamie Dunmire in 1982; brother, William R. Dunmire; sisters, Dolores Carr and Marie Dunmire and in-laws, Sam, Raymond and Mae Raymond. Friends will be received Sunday from 2PM until time of service at 5PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Rev. R.A. Wallace, officiating.
