Yanche, Frank A., 89, Hillsdale, Pa, formerly of Vintondale, passed away, Thursday, Feb 23, 2017 at Hillsdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born May 7, 1927 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late John and Eva (Budvesel) Yanche. Frank was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by brothers John, Mike, George Yanche and an infant brother Andrew. Sisters Emma Borzak, Helen Gresko, Eva Martin, Mary Gaydos, and Ann Oustifine, and longtime companion Margaret Blanche Malloy. Frank was of Roman Catholic Faith. He worked at Johnstowns Bethleham Steel, retired at age 50, then drove cross country visiting the various sites. An avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, he also enjoyed playing poker and having coffee with his friends at the service garage in Vintondale. When reminiscing with his niece and Godchild Shirley Trexler, during their weekly visits, he often would say Ive lived a good life. Frank was loved by all his nieces, nephews, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. At Franks request there will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend committal prayers at a grave side servive on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at St. Marys Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Arrangements are being handeled by Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to Dr. Jamil Ahmed for his excellent care, to the compassionate and caring staff on the 7th floor at Indiana Regional Medical Center, to the caring support of Heritage Hospice, and to the loving care and support Frank received at Hillsdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center during his three year stay.
