Flora L. (Strini) Maggio

On September 18, 2019, Flora L. (Strini) Maggio was called home to reunite with her husband Pete. She passed away peacefully at her home.

Flora was born May 26, 1931 in Tearing Run, PA to the late John and Mary Strini.

Flora was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and an original member of the Red Barn Sportsman Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Flora is survived by her sister, Amelia Stewart of Indiana, PA; her two sons, Peter Maggio and fiancee Sharon Satterfield and Tony Maggio and wife Monica, both of Homer City.  She will be lovingly missed by five grandchildren, Michelle and Ted McCaulley, Michael Maggio and fiancee Julie Grejtak of Homer City; Nina and Dan Morley of Gambrills, MD; David and Whitney Maggio of Chicago, IL and Beth Maggio of Washington, DC and four great grandchildren, Mikayla and Romylos Dokos, Myla Maggio and Skylar Morley.  Her sister-in-law, Goldie Maggio, FL and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Pete, her sister, Rosemary Bertocchi and her brothers, John and Lloyd Strini.

Friends will be received Saturday, from 2 to 6 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 6PM in the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Chapel.
