Edward V. Gaydosh

July 16, 1940 — October 4, 2023

Coral

In loving memory of Edward V. Gaydosh, 83, Coral, a devoted husband, caring father, and cherished grandfather, who passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023. He was a man of great integrity, kindness, and love, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him.

Ed was born on July 16, 1940, in Clune, PA, and spent his formative years at Elders Ridge High School. He continued his journey by serving in the US Army and spent the remaining years of his career with the Homer City Generating Station.

A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Ed had an unwavering passion for sports and was always eager to cheer for his beloved team. His enthusiasm for the Steelers was infectious, bringing joy to many game days and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Above all else, Ed was a devoted family man. He was a loving and supportive husband to his wife of 61 years, Patty, a caring and nurturing father to his two children, Michael Gaydosh, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Shelly Nippes, of Homer City, and a doting grandfather to his beloved grandchildren Megan (Richie) Petricig, Andrew Gaydosh, Emma, and Kathryn Nippes. Brother-in-law Jim (Lyn) Vresilovic, nieces Tara (Dusty) Duckworth, Nina (Kevin) Elkin, several great-nieces and nephews, and Jennifer Gaydosh also survive Ed. Family was at the center of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion.

In his memory, let us honor Ed’s life by carrying forward the values he held dear: love for family, dedication to an honest way of life, and the unyielding spirit of a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
