Edna Mae (Schlemmer) Craft, 93, of Graceton, died February 6, 2017 at the Communities at Indian Haven. She was the daughter of William Wayne and Amelia (Anderson) Schlemmer. She was born on February 2, 1924 in Punxsutawney, PA and graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1941. Edna Mae married her Husband, Carl Craft on November 12, 1947 and they spent 54 years together when he passed away in 2002. Edna Mae was an avid reader and was especially well known for her love of sports, her favorite teams being the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. She also spent many years as a member of the Red Barn Sportsman's Club Ladies Auxiliary and spoke fondly of her time spent 'up on the hill'. Edna Mae is survived by her son, Carl Craft, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Virginia Beach, VA; Daughter-in-Law Bonnie Craft, Homer City; Grandchildren Carrie (Craft) George and Husband Jeff, Homer City; Denise, Carl III, and William, all of Virginia Beach, VA. She was also survived by six Great-Grandchildren (who she called her pride and joy) Nicholas, Holly, Allison and Melanie George and Thomas and Beau Price; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Edna Mae was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Craft in 2006, her brothers Leonard, Carl, James and Thomas Schlemmer and a sister Agnes George. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Bond officiating. Interment to follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
