David S. Kanouff

David S. Kanouff “Bud”, 85, of Homer City went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on November 4, 2019 at his residence.  He was the son of the late David R. and Ida (Blose) Kanouff, and was born on September 24, 1934 in Juneau, PA.

Bud worked and retired from Torrance State Hospital where he worked as an electrician.  He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.  He served in the United States Air Force and was in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Duane Boring VFW Post #9310.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren at his camp.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Anna “Jane” (Goldberg) Kanouff, whom he married on September 10, 1956, his son David C. Kanouff and fiancée Kathy Lichtenfels, his daughter, Theresa and husband Jeff Reinard; five grandchildren, Adam Kanouff, Anthony and wife Dana Kanouff, Angela (Kanouff) and husband Andy Szentmiklosi; Lucas Reinard and Marissa (Reinard) Boring and her husband Tim; six greatgrandchildren, Garrison, Autumn Andrew, Alex, Kaiden and Alexa.  He is also survived by his siblings, Glenna and husband Jim Ward, Portia Goldberg, and Kathleen Kanouff.  He will be missed by brother and sister-in laws, and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Delores, Anita and his infant brother, Kerry.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
