Carmella G. Stabile Halter, age 88, of Bridgeton, New Jersey formerly of Lucernemines, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Moorehead Place in Indiana, Pa. Carmella was born on March 10, 1926 in Lucernemines and was the daughter of Rosario and Nicholina (Palimeri) Stabile. She was a member of The Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She worked at Owens Illinois glass factory in Bridgeton New jersey. She was a volunteer server at the Saint Vincent De Paul soup kitchen as well as a CCD teacher and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a very active member of the parish because her whole life was dedicated to serving the needs of the church and the members. She is survived by her neice Lisa (Joseph) Stant and nephew Sean Lichty and there grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan and Karli. Carmella is preceded in death by parents, husband Charles Halter; four brothers Leonard, Louis, Carlo and John; and three sisters Theresa Krejocic, Rose Kostella and Angeline Templeton. Friends will be received January 2, 2015 at St. Teresa of Avila in Bridgeton, New Jersey from 10 am until the time of funeral mass at 11 am. Reverend Father Richard Grey celebrant with internment to follow at Friesburg Cemetery in Elmer, New Jersey.
