Betty Jean Nastick, 87, Homer City died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Trimble) Wadding and was born on September 13, 1924 in Indiana. She was a retired Bell telephone operator and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She also is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Homer City Womens Club, AARP and she was a volunteer for the American Blind Association. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Nastick is survived by her daughter - Patricia Jacoby and her husband Thomas of Indiana; and her son Stephen Jr. Nastick and his wife Penny of Denver, Colorado; and one granddaughter Savannah Jacoby. She is also survived by her brother James Wadding and his wife Shirley of Lake Station, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Stephen Nastick Sr.; two sisters - Louise Frederick and Ruth Lauster. Friends and family will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a vigil will be recited. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Father Ron Cyktor, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery.
