Betty Ella Kinter, 79, of Overlook Drive, DuBois, and formerly of Ridge Avenue, Homer City died Wednesday, December 28th at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born May 22, 1932 in Homer City, she was the daughter of Royden R. "Jack" and Violet C. (Ostermeyer) Duncan. She was married to William A. Kinter, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1988. She was a lifelong member of the Homer City United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. She also enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and playing the organ in her spare time. She worked at FMC Corporation (Syntron) for 35 years before her retirement in 1988. She is survived by one son, Kerry L. (Marilyn) Kinter of DuBois; 2 stepsons, William L. (Claudia) Kinter of Bailey, CO and Harry S. (Sarah) Kinter of Canterbury, NH; and one granddaughter, Stephanie M. (Lance) Jovenitti of DuBois. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home in Homer City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with the Reverend James M. Chase officiating.
