Bertha "Birdie" (Bork) Hintemeyer

Bertha Birdie Louise Hintemeyer, 68, Indiana died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Communities of Indian Haven. She was the daughter of Walter and Ida Belle (Cochran) Bork and was born March 8, 1944 in Homer City. She was a member of the Homer City Presbyterian Church where she was an enabler for the Presbyterian women. She also was a Deacon, an Elder and taught Sunday school. Mrs. Hintemeyer was also a member of the Indiana Glass Club. She started Birdies Closet at the Indiana Regional Medical Center and served on the Board of the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies. She worked at the Homer City State Bank and served on the Advisory Board of S&T Bank. Mrs. Hintemeyer is survived by her husband Fred; Son Dave Hintemeyer and wife Carol of South Hills; 3 grandchildren Hayden, Landen and Raygen Hintemeyer; Mother Ida Belle Bork of Homer City; Brother Dave and wife Debbie Bork of Homer City Nephew Dave Bork and niece Jessica Borowitz She was also survived by - 2 stepchildren Michael Hintemeyer of San Francisco; and Sharon Angotti of State College; And 6 Step Grandchildren Samantha, Allison, Jake and Zack Hintemeyer and Justin and Christian Angotti. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Bork Friends will be received Saturday from 6-8 PM and Sunday from noon until time of service at 4 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Timothy Monroe, officiating. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
