Alberta S. (Smith) Elias

Alberta S. Elias, 88, Homer City died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Communities of Indian Haven. She was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Anna (Coury) Smith and was born May 11, 1924 in Indiana. She was employed by John Merlo in Homer City as an accountant and also worked for over 20 years at the Indiana Holiday Inn until her retirement. Mrs. Elias was a member of the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Blacklick. She is survived by her daughter Becky M. Medvetz and husband Martin of Homer City, her son Michael G. Elias and wife Michele of Garrettsville, Ohio and one grandson Marty Medvetz and wife Wendy of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother Robert Smith of Brush Valley and her sister in law D.J. Smith of Silver Springs, MD In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Albert Smith. Friends will be received Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 11AM until time of service at 1 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Rev. Fr. Pitirim, officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Communities of Indian Haven.
