Maryann Kennedy Steffee

Maryann Kennedy Steffee, 77, Homer City died November 2, 2017 at Beacon Ridge. She was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Susanne (Hinda) Kennedy and was born August 28, 1940 in Norristown, PA. Maryann was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish where she was a member of the St. Louis Altar Rosary Society, and was a lector since 1985 and also served on the Pastoral and Regional Councils. She graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School and was a licensed Pennsylvania Beautician. Maryann worked for Homer City State Bank (S&T Bank) and NBOC (First Commonwealth) as head bank teller. She was also a member of the Homer City Borough Council. She is survived by her husband, Michael K. Steffee; four children, Paul J.Steffee; Barnstead, New Hampshire; Richard J.Steffee, Hagerstown, Maryland; Shawn Steffee, Indiana; and Susanne Steffee, Homer City. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Kayla and Shawn and two great grandchildren, Bryson and Olivia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Richard J. Kennedy and John J. Kennedy. Friends will be received Monday from 9 AM until time of Blessing Service at 10:30 AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
