Mary Magdalene Gnibus, 99, Coral died Thursday, December 5, 2019 at The Communities of Indian Haven. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Lenart) Gnibus and was born January 24, 1920 in Coral, PA.
Mary is a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and the First Catholic Ladies Slovak Union Branch #319. For eight years Mrs. Gnibus worked in a jewelry store in Baltimore, MD then was employed by the Social Security Department for over 40 years.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Delba Gnibus, San Juan, PR and eighteen nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, John, Joseph, Andrew, Steve, Edward and infant Paul and two sisters, Johanna Supko and Elizabeth Baker.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 3-6 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
